Over the past decade, Ford has generated millions of dollars to support JDRF’s quest for a Type 1 diabetes cure. Now, the company is continuing that tradition with a raffle. For the price of one $10 ticket, you could drive away in a 2020 Shelby GT500 painted in a unique hue dubbed “Venom”.

Of course, beyond the paint it isn’t just any GT500. It is equipped with the coveted Carbon Fiber Track Package which includes a Mustang GT4 track wing, as well as carbon fiber wheels wrapped in sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. It also features a rear seat-delete, and Recaro leather-trimmed seats.
To create this exclusive 2020 Shelby GT500 to benefit JDRF, Ford turned to Protean and Penske Vehicle Services. It is painted in a unique color called Venom and wears painted black stripes. It can be won for the price of a $10 raffle ticket.
“Building on the excitement around GT500 is a terrific way to help JDRF fund research and help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes,” said Dave Pericak, Ford director of enterprise product line management. “Not only does this raffle provide an opportunity to win the most powerful production Ford ever, it also speaks to how Ford strives to make people’s lives better.”
JDRF funds research into curing Type 1 diabetes as well as programs to raise awareness about the disease. It hopes to sell 75,000 raffle tickets to help the cause. The tickets are available until November 10, and the drawing will be held on November 14. However, even if you don’t win the 760-horsepower Venom GT500, the runner-up will score an all-inclusive VIP race experience for two to the 2020 Daytona 500.
