Win A 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 With Shelby American Collection

The 2020 Shelby GT500 order banks are now live on Ford’s official website, and we have spent some quality time building and pricing out our dream Shelbys here at FordNXT.

But the harsh reality is that unless you have already secured one of the first allocations at your local dealership and are willing and able to cough up some serious cash for Ford’s flagship muscle car, the 760- horsepower Ford Performance vehicle might just be out of reach for your average Mustang enthusiast.

If owning a new Shelby GT500 is still on your bucket list then we have some exciting news for you. This month, Shelby American Collection, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving as a resource for all Shelby enthusiasts, announced they would be giving enthusiasts the chance to win a fully loaded GT500 and help preserve one of the most critical eras in American automotive history for generations to come.

The donation winner will receive a Ford Performance Blue Shelby GT500, fully loaded which will include the Carbon Fiber Track Package with exposed carbon-fiber wheels, GT4 track wing, and Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires.

Other options include the Technology Package and painted “Over-the-Top” white stripes.

The winner also receives the GT500 Track Attack experience at Ford Performance Racing School and a $1,000 gift certificate for Adam’s Polishes.

“With its supercar-level powertrain, the all-new Shelby GT500 takes the sixth-generation Mustang to a performance level once reserved only for exotics,” said Hermann Salenbauch, global director, Ford Performance vehicle programs.

This 2020 Shelby GT500 will feature the Carbon Fiber Track Package with exposed carbon-fiber wheels, GT4 track wing, and Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tires.

Winner To Be Announced At Annual Party & Car Show

The winner of the 2020 Shelby GT500 will be announced live at the Shelby American Collection’s 23rd Anniversary car show and party in Boulder, Colorado, on Saturday, September 5th, 2020.

Shelby American Collection will be celebrating the famous 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans victory by Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver in Gulf GT40 P/1075 during this year’s event.

We had the chance to watch last year’s winner of the 2019 Shelby GT350R live on the Shelby American Collections Facebook page, and we caught up with Volunteer Marketing Director Annie Volk to ask her a few questions about this year’s upcoming event.

FordNXT: Can you tell our readers a little bit about your annual Shelby American Collection party each year?

Annie Volk: Our Annual Car Show and Party brings in around 600 people from around the U.S. to our museum in Boulder, Colorado. This event is open to the public, and tickets each year include a commemorative poster, an autograph signing session, live panel from our special guests, full dinner, open bar, and ice cream truck. We fill up the parking lots around the museum with about 150 collector cars, including many Shelbys, Mustangs, Continuation Cobras, and Ford GTs. At our event in 2019, special guests included Allen Grant, Tom Yeager, Aaron Shelby, Jim Marietta, and Gary Patterson.

FN: If one of our readers were to win the 2020 Shelby GT500, what is the process for picking it up? Will you be broadcasting the winning ticket on Facebook live again?

AV: Yes, ticket drawings will always be broadcast live on our Facebook page. Next weekend (Saturday the 28th), the winner of the 2019 Shelby GT350 is coming out from California to pick up his car. He is trailering the car home, but typically our winners will drive the vehicles back home for the road trip of a lifetime!

The Shelby American Collection is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization. The museum is open to the public every Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm with an admission fee of $5. The museum is dedicated to serving as a resource for all Shelby enthusiasts and houses the finest collection of Ford GT40s, Shelby Cobras, and memorabilia.

Donations are being accepted now for your chance to drive away in this extremely rare Ford Performance Blue 2020 Shelby GT500 by clicking on the official Shelby American Collection page here. Good luck!
