As we hurtle toward the big aftermarket industry confab in Las Vegas early next month, the team a WELD Racing has expanded its wheel line — which already included CCW Forged Performance — via acquisition. The company recently purchased Forgestar Performance Wheels, which is know for its rotary-forged, flow-formed street wheels and, more recently, drag wheels.
“We are pleased to add Forgestar Performance Wheels to the WELD Racing family,” Norm Young, President and CEO of WELD Racing, said. “Both WELD and Forgestar have a great reputation among enthusiasts and racers on the street and on the track. The two brands will complement each other in numerous ways such as design, engineering, and manufacturing.”
WELD Racing is synonymous with racing and high-end street wheels and adding Forgestar Performance Wheels to its portfolio broadens its offerings even further. Forgestar currently offers six designs its Rotary Forged Series and two more designs in its Modular Forged series. All are available in a wide variety of diameters, offsets, and colors, including this Drag Pack version of the popular F14 design.
Forgestar will remain in Anaheim, California, and keep producing its wheel designs, which offer flexible widths and offsets courtesy of that flow-forming technology.
“With their increased engineering and production resources, WELD Racing is the ideal partner to continue Forgestar’s growth,” Vincent Wong, Vice President of Lifestyle Business Unit, explained. “With the added support, we will be able to push the boundaries of wheel manufacturing and continue to reinvent this exciting product segment.”
