Video: Two Mustangs and Three Ford Trucks Pull The Flag At Homestead

Commencing the 2014 Ford EcoBoost 400 NASCAR season finale, at Homestead-Miami Speedway, was a parade of true American patriotism and pride. Before the start of the race, the festivities launched with what has become quite the tradition to behold. The pre-race pulling of the American flag around the track.

Spectators were filled with red, white, and blue pride upon viewing a Ford Super Duty Pick-up along with a pair of F150s escorting the American Flag with a smoking pair of 2015 Ford Mustang GTs lapping around the track closely behind beneath our nation’s symbol of liberty and freedom. The Mustangs themselves, were the event’s official pace cars, with the official pack leader being one of the ultra-limited 2015 50th Anniversary models.

Many fans stood displaying a love for our great nation with hand on heart, as the American flag was pulled, waving, around the track in full escort to the soundtrack of the Star-Spangled Banner. Finishing off this amazing pre-race ceremonial event, spectators were treated to an F-16 flyover by the Makos of the 93rd Fighter Squadron as well.

While the pre-practice of pulling the American flag is a normal part of the pre-race ceremony, it was not until 2013 when cameras were attached to the Mustangs, giving a new up close on the track perspective of the event. With the end result nothing less than an amazing showmanship of patriotism at its best, this is without a doubt a yearly event that many race enthusiasts look forward to.

Check out the video, it’s probably the most patriotic thing you’ll see today.
