There’s not a lot of sounds that can top the rumble of a mod motor with a mean-sounding exhaust. Especially if those cars are packing a ton of power. Performance seems to be on the top of everyone’s list, especially with the release of the brand new stock Shelby Mustangs making 600+ horsepower. However, people have modded up older S-197 Mustangs that would knock the socks off of some of the new ones. We came across this video on Autoevolution.com and thought we’d share.
Some of these built-up Mustangs are putting down 1,000 to 1,200 horses. That’s an insane amount of power just under the driver’s right foot…especially for a street car. This video shows some of these powerful Mustangs rolling around, revving it up, and showing off that musical exhaust. It’s just the rumble of the powerful V8 and the exhaust notes that are enough to bring chill bumps to any hardcore Mustang enthusiast, even some Camaro fans, if they’ll admit to it.
The black and red Shelby GT500 is packin’ 1,000 horsepower while the Shelby GT500 sporting the red and white paint combo is putting down an impressive 1,200 hp according to the YouTube user, Jorrie, who shot and uploaded the video. It isn’t known how much horsepower the Shelby GT500KR Mustang (with the Netherlands tag) is putting down, sadly, but we do know that the car is a limited one with only 1,000 units produced. The Shelby GT also sounds like a complete beast.
If you had to choose between any of these awesome Mustangs, which one would you choose?
