Video: ThatDudeinBlue’s 2013 Mustang GT With 70,000 Miles Update

If you’re a car enthusiast like we are, you need to check out ThatDudeinBlue‘s videos on YouTube. In the video above, ThatDudeinBlue (aka David Patterson) discusses what it’s like to own a higher-mileage 5th generation S197 with the Coyote 5.0 liter V8.

Patterson begins by explaining that his GT isn’t exactly stock, yet isn’t a racecar either. He has a few simple bolt-on components. Some of which include a tune from Bama, a Roush axle-back exhaust, and a Boss intake manifold just to name a few. Those bolt-ons allow his Grabber Blue GT to put down a respectable 423 horsepower to the wheels on a good day.

If you’re looking for a review of the car, Patterson makes it clear that this specific video is not one. He explains that it’s rather an update to his previous videos: where he updated his subscribers at 10,00035,000, and 50,000 miles.

In each one of his update videos, Patterson addresses the “stigma” that is sometimes attached to Ford, regarding the stereotype that their cars have issues. However, in this video at his 70,000 mile update, he informs us that the car has only had two minor issues since his last update at 50,000 miles.

If you’re already a subscriber, you’ll know that Patterson explains that his GT is pushed very hard, stating that this is his daily driver, which is taken on cross-country road trips very frequently.

All though Patterson is slowly creeping up on the 100,000 milestone mark, he doesn’t have any plans of getting rid of his S197 anytime soon, stating, “I have a Coyote five-oh Mustang. I’m very fortunate to have what I have. I love my car, and I’m content with what I have. It’s not hard. I don’t need to trade it in, and I don’t need to do anything. It’s been a great car.”

We highly recommend checking out ThatDudeinBlue’s YouTube channel. Patterson has a lot of variety there – from videos of his Mustang, to modified car reviews, there’s something for everyone.
