For those of you who are seeking better handling characteristics or a mean stance for your ’15 Mustang, CJ Pony Parts has you covered. They’ve shared a video from their YouTube channel on how to install the Roush Single Adjustable Coilover Suspension Kit.
Some of you might be asking yourself what exactly is a coilover kit, and we’re here to help you find the answer. A coilover kit is a dampening and rebound matched spring and strut/shock combination that has been combined together as one unit. They are ride height adjustable, and they are made specifically for your vehicle. The one we’re discussing today is from Roush Performance, which is a known OEM provider for Ford and the Mustang.
Like we mentioned above, if you’re looking for a better handling experience, or just want to give your car a more aggressive stance, you can’t go wrong with a coilover suspension kit. Out of the box (without adjusting the coilover height) the kit allows for a drop of 1.5-inches in the front, and 1.0-inches in the rear.
When fully adjusted in the lowering position, the kit allows for a maximum drop of 1.5-inches in the front, and 2.0-inches in the rear. Roush says that it is possible to go even lower than that, though you’ll have to modify the unit by cutting off the locking ring.
As he always does, Bill Tumas from CJ Pony Parts covers step by step how to install this kit, as well as its benefits in this video. Working on the 2015 Mustang suspension isn’t too complicated, and installing this coil over kit is something most enthusiasts should be able to tackle in an afternoon with the proper tools.
With any coilover kit, you can expect superior handling, faster lap times, and of course better stability in braking as well. We highly recommend checking out the kit for yourself, as there’s a ton more information located on CJ Pony Part’s listing for the kit.
