What do you get when you pin Ken Block and his Ford Fiesta ST RX40 against Brazil’s professional football (soccer) star Neymar Jr. and a giant paved football field? Well, Castrol is calling it “Footkhana”, an ode to Ken Block’s famed Gymkhana exhibitions. Check out the crazy melding of sports in the video above.
Now, while Castrol is a premium automotive lubricant company, it’s important to note that they are also a major sponsor when it comes to some of the world’s biggest sports. One of these sports, outside of the automotive industry, is football, particularly when it comes to the 2014 FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) World Cup in Brazil.
In a recent media stunt, Castrol pinned one of Brazil’s biggest football stars, Neymar Jr., against one of the automotive world’s biggest stars, Ken Block. The result is what is being called “Footkhana” or a mix of Gymkhana and football.
The whole point of the video is to show which athlete is actually the best at their craft; rather which athlete is best at scoring soccer goals using their famous skills. The verdict? Well, we’ll let you find out for yourself by watching the video, but we will tell you that this is one competition where neither man was outdone! Enjoy!
