Is there anything more entertaining than watching Formula Drift professional drifter and Blue Oval ambassador Vaughn Gittin Jr. completely shred the tires on a brand new RTR Spec 2 Ford Mustang? How about watching the guys from Hoonigan rip donuts in this modified Mustang? Dubbed “The Donut Garage” is where you’ll find this band of hoonigans and its hot rodded Coyote-powered S550 Mustang. The 2017 RTR Spec 2 Mustang is more than capable of laying fat tire marks and ripping off a donut or two, though, as Vaughn and his team at Ready To Rock (RTR) have essentially continued to reinvent the RTR line of Mustangs for the 2017 model year.
“The RTR Spec 2 is an appearance and performance version of the car,” Vaughn Gittin Jr. relayed. “This has our appearance package which is our chin spoiler, grille, integrated lighting, stripe kit, Tech 7 wheels, and Nitto NT555 G2 tires. Under the car is fully adjustable dampers, adjustable sway bars, and (lowering) springs that we’ve developed.”
Vaughn says that RTR to himself means that these cars are “Ready To Rock,” meaning that they’re ready to take on just about anything and everything you can throw at them. “In this car, there is a balance for understeer, neutral balance, and oversteer. Anyone that gets one can go out and beat it up on a track, and cruise with your better half, and most importantly, put a smile on your face.
We like the sound of that, Vaughn!
