Only a mere six months has passed since the last Gymkhana video in the series went live, and it’s left us craving more. Though the previous video (which was the eighth in the series) left us yearning for those nostalgic ‘old school Hoonigan’ vibes like its early predecessors, the tradeoff was allowing us to experience an incredible new and exciting scenery – like the city of Dubai.
Did you know that many of the tricks performed in the video were inspired by the new Forza Horizon 3 video game coming out on Xbox One?
For the ninth version in the aforementioned series – Ken Block, along with The Hoonigans and the team at Forza Horizon 3 – make a return to their old school roots of raw and insane driving stunts and action. Only this time, it’s in a rust-inhabited and Tetanus-infested industrial playground located on the Western side of New York state.
Block manages to hit, bump, and scrape a few objects in his path while making his way across the industrial jungle that is New York; but it doesn’t stop him from performing some badass, one-off stunts along the way.
The new scenery, as intriguing and captivating as it is, really doesn’t take the cake however. It’s the 2016 Focus RS RX that Block uses to compete in the FIA World Rallycross Championship that really steals the show in our opinion. Pushing more than 600 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque (assumably at all four wheels), this extensively-modified Focus RS racecar is sure to throw Block back in his seat on every twist, corner, and straightaway possible.
