Video: Ford GT In The Final Stages Of Pre-Production

If you’re not already hyped enough about the all-new 2017 Ford GT coming at the end of this year, allow us to furnish more proof on just how cool the supercar from the Blue Oval really is. If you’ve followed all of the latest news on the Ford GT over the last few years, then you’re already well aware that 600-plus horsepower EcoBoost powered coupe has been one of the most hyped supercars this decade.

Did you know Ford specifically chose exclusive colors to accentuate the all-new 2017 Ford GT?

You’ll know this not only because of the multiple awards the car has won, or the special Heritage Edition GT cars that are to come; but because of the research, development, and engineering that has been invested into it. Take for example the video above, where engineers from Ford Performance work tirelessly at 2 AM on a Monday morning to perfect the aerodynamic properties on the all-new GT.

Engineers from Ford run aerodynamic tests on the all-new GT for more than 200 hours. They use this data to perfect the exterior of the car, while maintaining a stylish and sleek exterior in the process.

As Nick Terzes, Ford GT Engineering Supervisor explains in the video, the GT program is practically testing almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s incredible to witness that much time and effort unfold into a collaborative masterpiece such as the all-new GT. We think it’s safe to say, we can’t name another manufacturer off the top of our heads that does as extensive testing as this. Can you?
