When you think of some of the most intriguing car chase scenes, a few undoubtedly come to mind. The epic Mustang verses Charger scene from Bullitt where legendary actor and stunt driver Steve McQueen takes viewers through the twisted streets of San Francisco, or any number of the action scenes from the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds.

While those mentioned above happen to be real cars in full length feature films, there is a YouTube video short that has grabbed the attention of almost three million viewers – The Cliché RC Action Chase produced by Zach King of FinalCutKing which happens to star a pair of Ford Shelby GT500’s.

The clip takes the vehicles through a mini life like set built in only three days consisting of buildings and store fronts, through streets under construction and even back alleyways.  The action packed sequence features the Mustangs drifting around curves and too close for comfort bump and grind racing all while trying to escape live ammo from helicopter gunships flying above.

Part of what makes this particular video impressive is no CGI was used at all, nor were the cameras or video equipment used high-priced like you would expect after seeing the quality of the video. Yet King manages to create a realistic look and feel by using clever angles and intuitive cinematography.
