The 2015 Ford Mustang is the hottest story of this holiday season, but we still have a long wait before it actually hits dealerships. Until then we’ll be endlessly teased and taunted by Ford regarding every little detail, of which there are still plenty to discover. Most of us are just waiting for a chance to sit behind the wheel and step on the throttle.
While we don’t have access to a time machine, Ford has announced that you can get behind the wheel of the 2015 Ford Mustang earlier -sort of. The car will be featured in the all-new Need For Speed: Rivals video game. It will be the first chance to drive the new muscle car, at least virtually.
Ford has developed an especially close relationship with Electronic Arts (EA), owners and makers of the Need For Speed franchise. As you no doubt already know, a Shelby GT500 is the star car of the upcoming Need For Speed movie with actor Aaron Paul at the wheel. The movie arrives in early 2014, and the new NFS game arrived last month for both the old and new Playstation/Xbox consoles.
Because we live in a magical age, games like Need For Speed can be updated with a simple download, and Ford is going to make the 2015 Mustang available, for free, very soon. We’ve already covered the new Mustang in-depth and from every angle, but this will be the first chance anybody gets to actually experience driving the Mustang.
As you can tell, we’re eager to take what we can get.
