Team Mustang Girls Announces 2014 Schedule, Looking For Sponsors

Team Mustang Girls is planning out their 2014 driving season. Courtney Barber will once again wheel her ’65 Mustang coupe around the country raising money for various charities and drawing attention to women in motorsports. Barber tells us, “I’ve nailed down the first few events that Team Mustang Girls will participate in this year, but that doesn’t mean we’re not open to looking at a few others.”

Great American Pony Drive and Mustang 50th Anniversary

In early April, Barber will head out to Oklahoma to meet up with the Great American Pony Drive on April 13. From there she’ll make the trek to North Carolina, eventually ending up in Charlotte. Barber will be documenting her travel, as well as covering the 50th anniversary Mustang show for StangTV. She’ll also be taking part in the documentary A Faster Horse.

Bullrun

Barber has made Bullrun part of her annual driving experience for several years now. This year will be no different, and Bullrun looks like it could be bigger than ever, running from New York City, to Scottsdale, Arizona, covering 3,000 miles.

Just like last year Barber will be creating an online journal of each day’s adventures for Inked Magazine. Bullrun is seen by millions on TV and online, so tune in and be sure to catch Barber and her friends as they give the boys a run for their money.

Rally North America

Each year Rally North America raises thousands of dollars for a notable charity. Last summer this non-profit rally raised over $100,000 for Camp Sunshine. This year RNA will take place in July, running from West Virginia all the way out to Colorado, raising money for the Accelerated Cure Project For Multiple Sclerosis. After placing in the top 10 daily last year, this year Barber will be be joined by friend, model, and racer Lea Powell. Barber will also send back updates for the StangTV audience.

Of course none of these trips are possible without sponsors, “Now the fun part begins, looking for sponsors to help us make these runs, support some great charities, and show the boys a thing or too about driving,” says Barber. We have no doubt she’ll be able to secure the help she needs, and raise tons of cash for charity. For more info check out Team Mustang Girls on the web and Facebook.
