This 1992 SAAC Mustang is a rare car, only 62 of them were ever made, but what makes this rarer than your average SAAC Mustang is that it only has 1,700 miles on it. You read that right, only 1,000 and 700 miles on it. This car is practically brand new, and the built, 300-horsepower 5.0-liter engine is hardly even broken in yet! The buyer of this car is one lucky guy or gal to walk away with a show-winning car, a race-winning car, or a solid investment that will be worth much more in only a few years time.

Of the 62 of these Shelby American Automobile Club were built between 1991 and 1993, and this is one of only a handful of convertibles. From the factory, these cars came with tons of performance options and offered a powerful drivetrain setup that would run some pretty impressive times on the track, or make for one heck of a street cruiser!
We would love to have this in our garage! Even if it wasn't such a rare car, it's a good-looking Mustang that would make a great weekend cruiser. The low mileage makes it attractive no matter what. This beauty just doesn't have a downside.
The eBay listing here details some of these performance parts: “These factory built cars included a host of Ford SVO catalog parts including GT-40 heads; GT-40 upper/lower intake; 65mm throttle body; pulleys; ceramic-coated headers; a Borla exhaust; 3.27 rear, five-lug, four-wheel discs; Simmons 17-inch, three-piece wheels; heavy-duty clutch, Hurst shifter; interior style bar; strut-tower brace; Eibach springs; Koni shocks; custom ground effects; brake ducts; rear spoiler; full custom-stitched leather; Le Mans stripes; and SAAC ID badging.”
The original sticker price on this bad boy was only $51,395, so the sale price on this was a touch lower than that at $39,000. The car has far from reached its maximum value, however, and that will certainly go up in the next few years.
The interior looks really nice as well and brand new, as you'd expect with only 1,700 miles on it.
The sale listing continues by saying that “This car is one of a handful of convertibles built, beautifully detailed and ceramic-coated Vermillion Red, with a spotless undercarriage and engine bay, lots of documentation, cold A/C, and cool stereo delete.” It also has the Original Goodyear Eagle tires. “Absolutely stunning and ridiculously rare. Show it, trailer it, or drive it, you pick!”
That's the look of an engine with under 2,000 miles on it for sure. It looks clean as can be.
The only reason this gem came up for sale was because the owner is remodeling their house and was in need of some cash for the project. Although a rare opportunity that has already passed, this is definitely the kind of car to keep your eyes out for. The add does show that the reserve was not met, so there is a possibility that it could get listed again shortly. Keep your eyes out for this one down the road!
