Paxton-Boosted 2018 Mustang Rips The Dyno With 854 RWHP

This beast is running on 12 pounds of boost and burning E85 fuel. The crazy thing about this Mustang? This pony hasn’t even reached its maximum horsepower as it is hitting the factory speed limiter before the rev limiter is even close. Still, Hellhorse Performance pumped up a 2018 Mustang GT with an intercooled Paxton supercharger and delivered 854 horsepower to the rear wheels.

Hellhorse retained the stock engine, but the Houston, Texas-based shop says it isn’t too worried about the block since it’s only seeing 12 pounds of boost. It really is impressive that kind of things that can be done with just a little extra boost on a stock Gen 3 Coyote.

A supercharger and a Coyote are a match made in horsepower heaven. This Gen 3 5.0 is strapped with a Paxton NOVI centrifugal unit.

Right now along with the 854 rear-wheel horsepower the boosted Coyote is also pumping out about 650 lb-ft of torque, but the shop is looking to increase their output to around 900 horsepower by changing pulleys and just getting things dialed in. The numbers this ’Stang is pushing now are already solid, but the more the better when it comes to power for sure. And, if they can pull that off without making too many changes, more power too them.
