The biggest all-Ford racing series conclusion is upon us folks, and this year’s Nitto Tire NMRA World Finals event out of Bowling Green, Kentucky, will once again include some seriously awesome events; like the ever-popular Tremec Stick Shift Shootout for 2016. All of this gear-banging action will be broadcasted LIVE in HD on September 29-October 2nd from Beech Bend Raceway on SpeedVideo.com. The 18th Annual event will include some of the most competitive events and classes this year, with the aforementioned Tremec Stick Shift Shootout being the one to really prove you’ve got a ‘driver mod’ if that’s your thing.

Making its second appearance this year, this event is for the enthusiast who runs a street-type manual transmission equipped Mustang, and is looking to take the crown for the fastest stick car. Of course, there’s a few simple rules which every racer should know for this event. Racers can utilize “race-oriented modifications,” such as face-plated or pro-shifted gears.

Manual transmission equipped cars must be hand-operated via a single shift handle, and manual transmissions with multiple levers (or air/electronic/hydraulic actuation) are not permitted. The folks at the NMRA expect more than 150 cars to enter in the battle for the QA1 True Street honors event recipient, and the fastest eight stick cars from this event will receive a special ‘shootout plaque’ as recognition for their involvement.

Next, the two fastest manual-equipped cars will then have enter a duel to win them all with a heads-up finale – and the winner will go home with a brand new Tremec transmission of choice. Furthermore, after the True Street competition, Tremec will host a ‘Racer Appreciation Party’ that will be open to all True Street racers (along with their families and crew). Bring your appetite for this one folks, because the party will have plenty of pizza, cold beers, and sodas for everyone!
