If you’re dealing with a heated situation between your spark plug wires, headers, and a compact engine space that’s resulting in burned-out boots, you’re going to love the PerTronix Flame-Thrower Spark Plug Wires with Ceramic Boots.
The Flame-Thrower wires feature ceramic boots on the spark plug end that can handle temperatures up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Unlike conventional spark plug boots, these ceramic boots won’t burn out or melt when pressed against hot headers—and they’re great for the high temperatures of cramped RV engine compartments.
The wires have two layers of heat protection with an 8mm pure silicone outer layer and an insulated core capable of withstanding temperatures up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. They also have spiral wound stainless steel alloy wrapped around a fiberglass core. Other features include a low 500 ohm per foot resistance rating for better energy delivery, stainless steel spark plug and HEI terminals, and solid brass distributor terminals. Available in universal V8 sets with straight, 45, or 90 degree boots.
