Starting things off in Bradenton, Florida, for the Spring Break Shootout event, the EcoBoost Battle brings the world’s fastest EcoBoost-powered Fords to the track in a battle of the fastest.
Being a heads-up style of racing, the EcoBoost Battle is one of our favorite events during the NMRA season – right up there with Coyote Stock and Outlaw True Street, respectively. Though the EcoBoost Battle series is primarily dominated by Mustangs, in favor of their rear-wheel-drive layout, the competition is open to alternative EcoBoost-powered vehicles; such as the Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS, Taurus, Explorer and F-150.
Of course we're excited to see two of the fastest EcoBoost Mustangs on the planet. Both UPR Products' and BG Racing's EcoBoost-powered Mustangs hold world records for being the first two EcoBoost-powered Mustangs in the 9-second quarter-mile e.t. zone.
