Ford hot hatch enthusiasts can breathe a big sigh of relief this week as head Hoonigan, Ken Block, announced that he will once again get behind the wheel of the Ford Focus RS RX and compete in the three remaining America’s Rallycross Championship races in North America.

Ken’s Hoonigan Racing Division also announced that world-class rallycross driver Steve Arpin of Loenbro Motorsports will join the team as well. The new rallycross duo is sure to bring some exciting racing action to the final three races here in the US. Both Ken and Steve are no strangers to the podium and have an impressive 10 overall rallycross wins between them.

I’m also happy about the fact that Ford Performance entrusted myself and my team to help further develop the Focus RS RX rallycross program. — Steve Arpin, Loenbro Motorsports.

“When I made the decision to return to a handful of rallycross events this year, I knew partnering with Steve Arpin and his team was the right move,” Ken explained.

For 2018 rallycross, both Ken and Steve will race cars that feature similar, yet slightly different, variations of Ken’s previously shown livery created by world renown artist Death Spray Custom, for the 2018 season. Both Ford Focus RS RX vehicles will feature new development and technology which aims to give this team a competitive edge come race day. Steve is no stranger to the Blue Oval lineup as Ford has been his vehicle of choice for much of his rallycross career.

“Obviously I’m excited about partnering with Ken Block this season,” Steve said. I’m also happy about the fact that Ford Performance entrusted myself and my team to help further develop the Focus RS RX rallycross program, the car has felt amazing in our testing with the revisions we’ve made, and I’m really eager to get it out on track and put it to the ultimate test against the competition.”
