The 2011 and newer Mustang GTs have performance written all over them straight from the factory, but with a few simple modifications from AmericanMuscle.com, you can enhance your newer Mustang’s performance and transform it into a pavement gripping beast. On the latest episode of AmericanMuscle Bolt-On Build-Ups, Justin Dugan shows you how, using the company’s 2011+ Mustang GT Acceleration Pack that utilizes new rearend gears and rear lower control arms to give your car better launches and grip on and off the track. Check it out above.
The 2011+ Mustang GT Acceleration Pack from AmericanMuscle.com uses a simple two-mod approach to give your car better hooking capabilities while racing at the strip or just cruising around town. To do this, the Acceleration Pack makes use of Ford Racing 4.10 gears and BBK rear lower control arms.
With this simple combination, your Mustang will be able to launch quicker while staying planted firmly to the asphalt. Also, with the six-speed automatic transmission in the AmericanMuscle Mustang GT, fuel economy won’t be affected greatly by the new gearing.
In pre-tests, the AmericanMuscle Mustang GT laid down a respectable 4.3-second zero to 60 time. While this isn’t too bad, the Acceleration Pack certainly made a difference, knocking four tenths of a second off the acceleration time to give the Mustang a 3.9-second zero to 60 time. Not bad for only a couple simple modifications. Of course, there are plenty of other modifications you can do to the 2011+ GT to make it more performance oriented but for a simple and cost-effective upgrade, you can’t beat the AmericanMuscle Acceleration Pack.
