The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association has a busy schedule in March, and after they finish at the Spring Lone Star Nationals the 9 through 11th, they are headed to WestWorld, in Scottsdale, Arizona for the 9th Annual Spring Nationals on March 16-18, 2018. As with all shows the Goodguys crew put together, they expect more than 2,500 street rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, and trucks up to 1972.
While classics are the mainstay of all Goodguys events, the traditional All-American Sunday will be welcoming all American-made or powered vehicles from any year. The Spring Nationals are not just a sit-behind-your-car-car show, and the crowd-pleasing Autocross event will showcase some serious competition at the WestWorld of Scottsdale facility. The Goodguys AutoCross allows members to test their street rod, truck, or street machine, and their driving ability, through a course of turns and curves.
The timed event will ultimately wind up with one winner from each of the Street Rod, Truck and Street Machine classes. Seat belts and a valid driver’s license are required, and you must be 18 years or older to drive the course.
There will also be a Nitro Thunderfest Dragster Exhibition, the famous Goodguys swap meet, Car Corral, Model and Pedal Car Show, and plenty of vendor and manufacturer exhibits. Live music for the event will feature sets from the JJ’s and the Instant Classics.
