Give Your S197 A Streetable Growl With Flowmaster

Looking for an exhaust that is moderately aggressive to passers-by and has a comfortable interior noise level? Flowmaster says its new exhaust system fits the bill. The system is built from 409S stainless steel, with mandrel-bent 2.5-inch tubing. It features the company’s new FlowFX straight-through mufflers, which include a 3-inch core to allow for maximum performance. The exhaust flows through to dual double-wall, polished 4-inch stainless steel tips, which are embossed with the Flowmaster logo.

The video above showcases a Flowmaster FlowFx-equipped 2008 Shelby GT500, powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter engine. It features sound clips — at idle, revving, and under acceleration — to showcase the exhaust note under varying conditions. The exhaust also fits the GT and California Special in both coupe and convertible bodies.

Flowmaster recently uploaded a video to its YouTube channel that features the Flowmaster FlowFX Axle-Back Exhaust System for the 2005-2010 Ford Mustang powered by the 4.6- or 5.4-liter V8 engines (PN 717460).

When you order this kit, you’ll receive all of the necessary parts, along with hardware and detailed instructions. You can also rest knowing that your system was manufactured in the United States, dyno-tuned to allow for maximum performance, and designed for easy installation utilizing the factory hangers.
