The 13th edition of the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl Of Street Legal Drag Racing is coming to Route 66 Raceway, and Joliet, Illinois will once again be the spotlight of the drag racing world July 26-29. There will be racers from every region of the United States on the property at Route 66 Raceway trying to earn their ring and a chance to represent the NMRA or NMCA in the Super Bowl. This epic event will be broadcast LIVE on SpeedVideo when racing begins.
The Super Bowl is considered the crown jewel of the NMRA and NMCA season since it carries so much prestige and bragging rights for each organization. Racers battle it out during eliminations to not only win an individual title, but also have the opportunity to race in the Super Bowl where the NMRA and NMCA face off to see who the best is. There are no easy wins at the Super Bowl, every round win is earned.
Besides the massive amounts of amazing racecars that will be participating at the Super Bowl, the Chevrolet Performance Street Car Challenge and Dodge HEMI Shootout will be contested. This gives owners of modern muscle cars like the Corvette, Camaro, Demon, Challenger, and Charger to get some track time on the famous Route 66 Raceway surface. Both the Street Car Challenge and the HEMI Shootout have nine different classes with awards that cover racers at all performance levels.
