Classic & Current Bullitt Mustangs Co-Star At Goodwood

In the UK, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is a iconic event that brings enthusiasts together with the cars of their dreams. For many years, Ford brought forth an impressive collection of vehicles, and this year is no different. While several Blue Oval machines are sure to garner attention, the stars of the show might just be the original Bullitt movie Mustang and its modern production counterpart.

Owner Sean Kiernan recently revealed the original movie Bullitt Mustang in Detroit. Now he’s accompanying the car for its European debut at Goodwood alongside the 2019 Mustang Bullitt.

“The car that starred in the Warner Bros. film’s legendary 10-minute chase sequence – setting the standard for every movie car chase to follow – is set to feature on the 1.16-mile Goodwood Hillclimb course alongside the new special edition Ford Mustang Bullitt, now available to order in Europe and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the classic film,” says Ford.

Attendees and internet viewers will be able to see the original and production Bullitt strut their stuff at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

That’s right, the original movie car, which was recently revealed to the public at NAIAS by its owner owner, Sean Kiernan, will appear with its modern corollary. Along with the two Bullitts, a host of impressive Fords will ascend the Goodwood hill, including the 700-horsepower Eagle Squadron Mustang GT driven by drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. Ford’s Le Mans drivers will also show off the Ford GT on the hill, while the M-Sport Ford Fiesta World Rally Championship racer will make its debut on the mound.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place from July 12-15 at Goodwood House in West Sussex, England, and you can watch the livestream right here…
