To say that the all-new Ford GT is an advanced piece of machinery wouldn’t be far from the truth at all. Just last week, we discussed the latest video from Ford Performance which outlined the aerodynamic capabilities and the engineering behind the all-new GTs exterior.
However, it’s not only the body of the all-new GT that makes the car so technologically advanced. The 600-plus horsepower 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 power-plant and the 7-speed dual-clutch transaxle pave the way for innovation. We think it’s safe to say many of those advancements will eventually trickle down to the rest of the blue ovals line.
It’s innovations such as those above, that allow the all-new Ford GT to claim the title of the official vehicle of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) of 2016. “Ford was the first automaker to have a significant presence at CES nine years ago, and we are proud to continue that legacy of innovation in 2016,” said Mark Fields, president and CEO, Ford Motor Company. “As we move forward with our Ford Smart Mobility plan, CES is the perfect venue for sharing news on our efforts to change the way the world moves and provide new solutions in the areas of connectivity, mobility, autonomous vehicles, the customer experience and data and analytics.”
With the all-new GT available on display, Ford plans to host the first automotive news conference of CES ’16. The conference will take place on the events press day – which is Tuesday, January 5th, from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM at the Mandalay Bay, according to Newspress USA.
Aiming to lead the niche world of supercars is not an easy task. It’s abundantly clear that the blue oval themselves have definitely knocked it out of the park with the all-new GT – a car that was originally designed and bred for racing.
