If there is one thing we have learned since the release of the dual-fuel Coyote engine for the 2018 Ford Mustang GT, it’s how well this engine responds to boost. So it comes as no surprise to see many Mustang enthusiasts eager to get their hands on a forced induction package that provides the perfect blend of drivability and big power.
This month, Livernois Motorsports and Engineering announced a new supercharger package for the 2018 Mustang GT that provides new S550 owners impressive performance in a package that is sure to exceed your expectations from the moment you put your foot on the gas.

At the heart of the Livernois S820 Performance Package lies the Whipple 3.0L twin-screw supercharger. The Whipple Stage 2 supercharger system is capable of pumping out an astounding 850 flywheel horsepower and 660 foot-pounds of torque on ordinary pump gas. The system also features the industry’s leading heat exchanger, water reservoir, and intercooler pump allowing more power with lower boost levels and quicker recovery times after aggressive operation.
Livernois installed the Stage 2 kit on its Oxford White 2018 Mustang GT shop vehicle which was on display at this year’s Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. After the show, the company then drove the car 900 miles back to its headquarters in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
We caught up with Livernois Corporate Marketing and Events Coordinator Kevin Cassar, who was chosen to drive the vehicle, to find out how the car handled all that power on the open road.
“The 900-mile road trip back from Mustang Week was bucket list worthy,” said Kevin. “The car handled the entire trip with no issues at all. With the new 10-speed transmission we were averaging 25 to 26 miles to the gallon and we were able to get 350 miles on a single tank. But at WOT, the S820 Performance Package pulls like a freight train. I definitely had a perma-grin the entire trip back to Dearborn Heights.”
Along with the Whipple Stage 2 upgrade, the Oxford White 2018 Mustang GT that the team drove back from Mustang Week also featured a set of HRE Flow Form wheels, Mickey Thompson tires, Ford Performance lowering springs, and a Livernois Motorsports 1-Piece Driveshaft.
The Livernois S720 and S820 supercharger performance packages for the 2018 Mustang GT are now available. This complete kit along with professional installation takes an already impressive vehicle and transforms your Coyote 5.0L engine into an absolute tire shredding beast.
