2019 F-150 Limited Really Hauls Thanks To 450 Raptor-Bred Horsepower

Today’s trucks are about more than just hauling gear to the work site. They are rolling offices and family adventure machines. For those who want the combination of capability and luxury together, Ford offers its 2019 Ford F-150 Limited package. Its latest is not just chock full of features, to packs the same power as the high-performance Raptor.

They wanted more power, so we combined Raptor’s engine with Limited’s business-class features. — Todd Eckert, Ford

“F-150 Limited customers create their own success. The truck is their reward,” Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager, said. “They wanted more power, so we combined Raptor’s engine with Limited’s business-class features to deliver Baja fierceness, boardroom style and the grit to tackle tough jobs.”

That 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine delivers 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, which Ford says is the most power available in a light-duty truck. Aside from the Limited badging, its dual exhaust tips exiting through bumper cutouts lets you know this truck has more under the hood.

As you would expect from a luxury truck, the new F-150 Limited is packed with more than performance. It is hauling around a lot of up-market features, driver-assist tech, and even 4G LTE internet connectivity.

While the 3.5-liter Raptor powerplant is the big news for performance-minded buyers, the 2019 F-150 Limited is packed with features, including an upscale interior with a Miko suede headliner and leather-topped dash. “The gradated ash swirl trim is like something you see in a fine instrument,” Ford’s Aileen Barraza said. “Each piece is hand-finished, and a halo around the edges with a heavily polished center really brings out the natural beauty of this wood.”

“It was important for us to get this interior just right as we continue to raise the bar for premium pickup trucks,” Aileen Barraza, Ford color and materials manager, said. “The materials we chose to incorporate are authentic, distinctive and durable.”

If rolling into work with all the luxury and performance you can get, the 2019 F-150 Limited will roll off dealer lots later this year.
