Video: American Muscle Car Show Brings In 1200+ Mustangs

The American Muscle show is one event every enthusiast should attend near or far, with some folks who made the trip from Texas, Canada, and Florida. Located in Media, PA, right outside Philly, it’s a perfect setting for a huge herd of horses. If you live close it’s one day you mark on your calendar and make sure you have the day off, that is if you have to work Sundays. August 12th was the date of the biggest Mustang show in the northeast put on by one of our favs, AmericanMuscle.com.

There was no shortage of awesome Mustangs with the show rounding up over 1,000 of them and approximately 4,000 participants. Not only were there a ton of Blue Oval pride to check out, this event was held for charity and brought in about $15,000 to help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! So, it was an awesome show thrown for a great cause.

Besides that, add in the awesome food including a pig roast, the beautiful AM girls signing posters and giving everyone a sneak peek into their new ’13 AM calendar, prizes, contests, and all kinds of fun shenanigans. Let’s not forget all of those pretty Mustangs in every platform imaginable showing their goodies under many different colored hoods.

One awesome highlight of the show was the “Dueling Dynos”, two dynos set up side by side. Mustangs of all makes and models took on the dyno with horsepower ranges from 800-1000+. All generations were present whether naturally aspirated or mated with power adders making no shortage of things to see and awe over.

A “muffler rapping” contest went underway with Mustang owners showing off just how loud and mean their ‘Stangs sound. Even browsing through spectator’s lot, it could have been an extension of the 1,000+ Mustangs already in attendance and registered. So many Mustangs in different generations and colors lined the spectator’s lot as well as if it was a car show all its own.

Vendors were everywhere showing off what they had in store such as Barton Shifters, Kooks, and more. At the front of the show, a pretty lineup of ’13 Roush models were there for everyone’s aesthetic pleasure.
