Welp, the day has finally arrived… Behold, the first electric Mustang, the Mustang Lithium. This Stang is an all-electric one-off with more than the electric-kilowatt equivalent of 900 horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft of torque, a bunch of killer aftermarket add-ons, and a six-speed manual transmission. Dang.

According to the spec sheet, the Mustang Lithium is a collaboration between Ford and Webasto, who developed the car’s battery system.

The Mustang Lithium has an 800-volt setup, similar to the one found on the Porsche Taycan. Its power flows from two inverters to a Phi-Power dual-core electric motor, which sends thrust to a billet six-speed Getrag MT82 manual transmission. Power is then transferred to the ground via an 8.8-inch Torsen limited-slip differential, twisting Ford Performance half-shafts.

Of course, the Mustang Lithium is covered with a bunch of carbon fiber body parts and is lowered 1-inch.

The 20-inch Forgeline wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, complimented by six-piston Brembo brakes from the Shelby GT350R upfront.

Sankuer Composite Technologies provided the side rockers and the rear diffuser, and Webasto created its one-off hood complete with windows.

Inside, the car has a 10.4-inch touchscreen, used to control four different drive modes: Valet, Sport, Track, and Beast.

The Mustang Lithium will remain a one-off… for now. Ford claims the project is a testbed to showcase its collaboration with Webasto on battery and thermal management tech. And while Ford doesn’t give any performance numbers, it promises a “stunning quarter-mile acceleration.”
