SEMA 2018 was all about innovation and bringing something new to the market. For their part, LINE-X had an impressive Ford Raptor parked outside of the South Hall to bring attention to its signature coating, as well as a new take on tonneau covers.
On hand to speak with us was LINE-X’s Brian Stewart. “Our Raptor here is showcasing the Truck Gear by LINE-X LXP hard folding cover,” he said. “We went with the hard folding cover as it’s one of the most popular out there, and it features our coatings on it.”
The LINE-X coating on the LXP cover is sprayed on by computer-controlled robotic assemblies, ensuring a perfect coat every time.
The folding cover has LINE-X’s 100-percent UV-stable coating, which prevents fading in the sun. “There’s no need to apply any protectant to the coating, nor is there any need for maintenance itself,” said Stewart. “Our lifetime warranty is rock-solid and we’re sure that the LINE-X coating with outlast practically every other part on the vehicle.”
In addition to the tenacious LINE-X coating, the folding cover is just as easy to use as it looks. “You can fold the cover all the way up to the cab, and it can store upwards,” said Stewart. “A nice thing about the cover is that even when retracted, it does not cover up the third brake light on the truck cab. So you can drive around with the cover up and not run the risk of a ticket.”
