In an outside booth, we found Jay Velthoven with SLP who was happy to inform us about some new products currently available, and a little of what we can expect going into 2015.

Velthoven started with a Camaro, explaining, “With the new supercharger (TVS2300), we have eliminated the jack shaft that most blowers have, and with the fuel rails mounted on top, we have cut about 3.5 hours of installation time compared to most competing units. We also are really the only company making a supercharger accompanied with a cold air intake system as one kit. We also offer coil covers, reservoir tanks, and intercoolers to accompany a blower install. Additionally we build headers, X-pipes, and exhausts.”

“Our Stage 1 setups  on the Camaro are getting up to 580 hp with only six-pounds of boost, making them extremely drivable. We have even run a smaller pulley with an increased fuel system and got upwards of 700 hp. Everything is assembled in house and all of our blowers are both built and tested in Michigan,” said Velthoven.

Additionally Velthoven mentioned, “The Black Wing cold air intake system developed for the C7 should be in production around early 2015 along with the active exhaust system, now available, which is tunable to your specific needs via handheld devices and should add around 35 hp as an entire package.”
