Track Guys Presents Sebring Sensation Sponsored by Kenny Brown

If you missed the Kenny Brown Performance Sebring Sensation and Boss Mustang Reunion this past weekend at the Sebring International Raceway, Florida, than you certainly missed out on a great time. Track Guys Performance Driving Events put on an amazing show for us enthusiasts. Also, not only Mustangs were invited, although they seemed to rule over all. However, any make and models were allowed to run and there were no shortage of cars ready to race this 3.7 mile road course – from Miata’s to Ferrari’s. It was also deemed Boss Track Attack day so the Boss guys were having a blast and among them included a Laguna Seca and a Boss 302S.

Not only can you opt for a Test Drive with an instructor, but you can get your car out there all weekend and depending on your driving experience, there were four different levels. During the test drive, my instructor was a blast despite me having some headset technical difficulties. He taught me the rules of the raceway and I gave him a few laughs as I tend to do, especially under pressure.

Sponsoring the event, Kenny Brown and his sweet wife, Cari, were there all weekend with his turbo Mustang that was displayed at SEMA along with his new GT4-RS Autobahn Edition Mustang. They were also teaching those about the importance of tire temperature and how much of a difference it makes on the track to have your tires gripping as much as possible and giving us the inside scoop on how to maintain the best contact patch possible. Not only were they full of car knowledge, they handed out their special root beer floats to anybody looking to cool off on a hot Saturday in Florida.

Not only did I get to enjoy the track in my little Mustang during the parade lap and Test Drive, I was asked by Cari if I wanted to take a ride around the course with Kenny Brown in his new GT4-RS Autobahn Edition Mustang. How could I pass that golden opportunity up? Riding with Kenny Brown in this beastly 5.0 was an experience and a half. Glued to the bucket seat of this one-of-one Mustang, I had the biggest smile glued to my face as he tore up the track true pro-style with 500+ horses. That GT4 suspension is ridiculously awesome and the car handles and grips like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Kenny definitely knows what he’s doing when it comes to driving and high performance.

Among the Mustangs included Chicane’s 2013 White Boss 302, the a familiar Fox with the Coyote 5.0, Steeda’s 2013 5.0, Boss 302 Laguna Seca, a Boss 302S, a Kenne Bell supercharged Mach 1, as well as Cobras and Bosses for days. One of the highlights of the day was a Z06 that literally became a fireball on the track and had to be hauled away. As far as we know, the driver is okay, but his precious Corvette might just be a total loss. Sometimes the inevitable happens on the track, and that was no exception.

Jeff Lacina and Dell Hughes of Track Guys put on a great show for their tenth annual Sebring Sensation followed by a Saturday Night banquet full of raffles and giveaways and a lot of laughs during speeches by Kenny Brown, Evan Smith, and Jeff. We are happy to see Kenny back in the game after some health setbacks but you can tell where his passion is and he’s back at it and pretty unstoppable.

I’m still rockin’ the Track Guys Event sticker on my windshield for now, and can’t wait to sign up for the 11th annual show. Don’t miss it!
