Paul Brown and Tiger Racing have been around the Mustang road racing community for a long time now. The team recently embarked on a new project to build a competitive S197 Mustang for this year’s new GTS class in the SCCA Pro World Challenge series.

Brown is no stranger to the World Challenge. In the past, he has built and campaigned a New Edge Mustang in the series, in conjunction with Carol Hollfelder from 2000 through 2006. Earlier on, Brown worked on the Saleen Autosport team in the Escort Endurance Series, helping to take the Championship in 1987. More recently, he was the first ever NASA National Race Winner in American Iron Extreme (2006).

The Barber Driving Experience out of Camarillo, CA, has been working with Brown and Tiger Racing to document their latest project car. They have put together a couple of short videos and are working on more as the car and the season develop. Check out the two below. Word has it that a third episode should be out within the next week or two.

The SCCA World Challenge schedule for 2011 consists of eight events, beginning later this month on the Streets of St. Petersburg. A number of other Mustang racers, from the defunct Mustang Challenge series, are expected to contest the GTS class as well.
