Video: This ’69 Pro-Street ‘Stang Sports Mucho Mustang Mojo

If ever there were a Mustang that lived up to the name Boss Hoss, its Mike Conte’s hellish ’69 Pro-Street Mustang you see before you. This Stang is chock full of rare go fast goodies and is about a subtle as a nuclear warhead. Check out the video from Bangshift.

Originally a Grabber Green, S-Code 390 powered Mach 1, this old pony’s is now stuffed with an aluminum block 604ci Ford Hemi and topped with rare Alan Root A-441 cylinder heads that Mike scored NOS and unused. The tunnel ram intake that the twin Holley 750 CFM Dominators sit on is another Alan Root piece made of magnesium and was foundry fresh when Mike discovered it. Running on 93 octane gas, this monster dyno’d out at 700hp and over 700 lb/ft of torque and Mike says there more there if he really wanted to fine tune it.

Then the car was sent over to the guys at Tube Chassis Designz. They cut the shock towers out of the car, added a Heidt’s Mustang II front suspension setup, motorplates, and roll cage bars running down through the firewall to tighten up the structure. Power is delivered to the huge 33×21.5 Hoosiers via a F&B built Ford AOD overdrive transmission and a Strange rear end with 4.56 gears.
