Video: Holley Teases Three New ’05-’09 Mustang GT Exhaust Systems

In recent years, the Coyote engine platform has dominated the aftermarket performance scene due to its immense amount of popularity. Of course, for good reason, as the latest 5.0-liter V8 from Ford is regarded amongst enthusiasts as one of the best engines ever produced by the Blue Oval. And while we ourselves think it’s a fantastic engine as well, there are plenty of Mod-motor enthusiasts still abound in the Mustang world, and suppliers like Holley Performance continue to show its support by producing new components for these cars.

The video above showcases Holley’s latest exhaust system for 2005-2009 Mustang GT models equipped with a 4.6-liter Three-Valve V8, and it’s the most aggressive of the bunch. As one of three Hooker Blackheart exhaust systems, the 3-inch cat-back with no mufflers (PN 70503337-RHKR) will save you a total of 14 pounds, and is constructed out of 304 stainless steel material.

Next up is the 3-inch cat-back with mufflers (PN 70503338-RHKR). This system features the same 304 grade stainless steel construction, with the addition of two, high-flow, straight-through mufflers added. Weight savings comes in at 8 pounds for this system, and like the one above, mounts in the factory location points.

Last but not least is Holley’s 3-inch axel-back system which deletes the rear mufflers on an otherwise stock ’05-’09 Mustang GT. Following the pattern here, this system also integrates the use of 304 grade stainless steel, but will save you a staggering 23 pounds over the factory stuff.

Keep an eye out in the next couple of months, as we plan on testing Holley‘s non-muffler cat-back exhaust on our supercharged ’05 Mustang GT project car.
