Video: Gittin Jr. Tests His Unique Skills In This Week’s “Tuerck’d”

What do you get when you pair Formula DRIFT professional Ryan Tuerck and Vaughn Gittin Jr. together with a couple of cars that have been manipulated so that all the driving controls, except for the steering wheel, are on the passenger side of the car? Well, if you guessed some crazy stupid fun, then you would be correct. Check out the latest episode of Tuerck’d above to witness the crazy opposite controls tandem drift battle the two competed in.

In it’s second season, the video series Tuerck’d is a YouTube sensation featuring Ryan Tuerck and his drift buddies. And while Tuerck certainly knows how to get it done on the track, during his off times he certainly knows how to have fun.

This week, Vaughn Gittin Jr. joined Tuerck once again (last week, he starred in the Game of Drift) for some fun, this time taking the steering wheel of his Fox-body Mustang while Drift Alliance brother Tony Angelo controlled the rest of his vehicle in one unique contest.

The point? Well, we’ll leave that theory up to you but we’re guessing it has to do with seeing if drifting with just steering wheel control can be done.

Given some practice time, both Tuerck and Gittin Jr. end up doing rather well considering the circumstances.

The real kicker, however, comes when the two decide to do a tandem drift with Angelo still controlling the majority of Gittin’s car and Chris Forsberg controlling the majority of Tuerck’s.

Definitely not something you see every day. This video, as well as the rest of the videos in Tuerck’s series, give a glimpse into the world of drift outside formal competition. And we can’t wait to see what the pair come up with next!
