Video: First ProCharged 2011 V6 Mustang in the 12’s

The 2011 V6 Mustang that served as the development mule for ProCharger’s new V6 kit has been out at the track a couple of times and the news isn’t good – for the competition.

While the all-new 3.7L V6 engine in the 2011 Mustang has been gaining an enthusiastic following based on it’s excellent combination of power and fuel economy, there is room for more. In fact, with 8 psi of intercooled boost from the new ProCharger P-1SC-1 supercharger, the newest V-6 responds with an impressive 475 HP to the crank, according to Procharger.

In one of the videos below, you’ll see this car churn out 427.3 RWHP. That’s more than enough to run with the big dawgs on the street and generate a few surprises now and again. When the owner took the car to the track recently, we’re willing to bet that there were more than a couple of disbelievers about what was under the hood.

Well, the time slip talks and everything else walks. Despite a 1.956 short time, the Pony turned in a best time of 12.57 @ 112.81 mph. Given that the car was shod with Weld RTS wheels with Nitto NT05R drag radials, we think there’s still more in the car. Let the driver get some practice and low twelves are not out of the question.
