During the SEMA show, we checked out what was new at ROUSH and Ford Racing. That included a brand new ROUSH supercharger that was strapped to a few cars at the show, including the all new RS3. Our pals over at Brenspeed have had the chance to get their hands on one of these kits, and installed it for testing on their 2015 Mustang GT in-house project car.

Brenspeed owner, Brent White, shows off the installed supercharger in the company’s latest video. Right now, the Brenspeed Mustang GT has the phase one system installed, but don’t let you fool you. In phase one form, the supercharger is good for a stout 627 hp 530 ft-lbs. That’s adding nearly 200 hp to the stock engine.

White goes on to detail some things about this supercharger, including that this is an all new kit. While it is still based on the proven, and reliable, Eaton TVS 2.3 rotor pack, this is a completely new supercharger housing, inlet and air intake. The rotor housing has been revised to optimize airflow. These areas were all critical to getting more airflow and power out of the system at low boost levels.

Known for their engineering and extensive research and development, Brenspeed, will have packages soon enough to boost the power to well over 700 horsepower on the 2015. With a somewhat bolstered bottom end, the ’15 GT should be able to take more boost, and make more power safely than its stock predecessors. Brenspeed will be working to find the limits of the stock ’15 engine in the coming months and develop their own packages and programs to safely produce the power levels their customers desire.

With Ford not building a supercharged production Mustang this year, the ROUSH supercharger kit from Brenspeed is the closet you can get to GT500 level performance in a 2015 GT. With the higher horsepower packages from Brenspeed, Mustang owners will easily be able to exceed the previous generation Shelby’s performance.
