The guys over at Brenspeed are always working to test, refine, and develop better ways to make your Mustang faster, and more enjoyable. Brent White and his crew have spent years, and thousands of hours developing every package and testing every part the company sells.
Brenspeed is investing a considerable amount of time into the 2015 Mustang GT, so that they can provide their customers with the latest parts, for Ford’s newest pony car. In their latest video, Brent White, puts the 2015 ROUSH Phase 1 supercharger package to the test on Brenspeed’s dyno.
Out of the box, the ROUSH Phase 1 package promises 627 hp at the flywheel. White installed this system a few months ago, and has been road testing, and working with the car to conduct Brenspeed’s own research and testing on the system. The data gathered will be used to develop even more powerful packages and look at parts compatibility and the benefits of various additional parts when used with this supercharger package.
ROUSH Phase 1 kit includes virtually everything needed to transform a stock Mustang GT, into a fire breathing thoroughbred in a weekend. Co-developed with Ford Performance, the supercharger is still based on the Eaton TVS 2.3 liter rotor pack, but uses a revised housing for more airflow, creating more horsepower and efficiency than previous versions. This system was engineered specifically for the 2015 Mustang, so it’s not an old kit with some new hardware to make it fit.
On the dyno, the ROUSH Phase 1 delivers what it promises, as Brenspeed shows, 558 hp and 484 ft-lbs of torque, to the rear tires. That’s an increase of 186 hp to the tires, and 100 ft-lbs per Brenspeed’s baseline. White points out in the video that many owners may be looking for over 600 hp to the tires. However, with this setup, making 100 ft-lbs more at a relatively low RPM, it’s power your car will use and you can feel.
We’re looking forward to seeing what else White can do with Brenspeed’s 2015 GT, there’s little doubt that this is just the beginning of this car’s life as an R&D machine.
