The guys at Borla acquired TWM Induction, renamed it Borla Induction, and are now able to provide not only their traditional high-tech exhaust systems but well-engineered intake manifolds and 8-Stack induction systems for a variety of engines. In this video, they take a Ford Racing Parts crate 5.0L Coyote engine and outfit it with a variety of Borla Induction and Borla Exhaust parts to pump up the power, with solid results.

Using the 420-horse Coyote crate engine as a base, they’ve added one of the Borla Induction Coyote Vertical Stack setups, a set of Borla Exhaust’s long-tube Coyote headers, and a pair of Borla XR-1 mufflers in a torture test for a production engine – but one that accurately shows how effective the Stack design can be in a hot rod or retrofit application.

We definitely dig the stacks – it’s a bit of old-school cool without the old-school headaches involved with getting eight carburetors in sync all at the same time. Through the use of fuel injection, it gives present-day performance with the look of classic Weber-style carbs on top.

Not only does Borla Induction offer the Stack design for the Coyote in the downdraft style seen here, they also offer a Semi Cross Ram and a Barrel Throttles kit with bad-to-the-bone carbon fiber air horns. Induction systems for many different engines, from Ford to Honda, Mazda, Porsche, Ferrari, and more are available.

Back to the Coyote in the video – with the Borla equipment and other necessary supporting gear installed, power jumps all the way up to 515 ponies; a substantial improvement through the use of well-engineered equipment.

Best of all? The sound of the Coyote wailing on the dyno is nothing short of awesome. Headphones make it sound even better.
