Vegas Dealer Offering Rights To 50th Anniversary Mustang For $100k

We are waiting with great anticipation for the release of the 2015 Mustang, something we won’t see until late this summer. Along with that release comes the much publicized 50th anniversary edition of the new Mustang, limited to just 1,964 units.

With such limited numbers for the 50th anniversary edition, the car is sure to become an instant collectable for wealthy Ford fans. We’d be fairly certain as well that many dealers may keep their only allocated 50th anniversary edition in the family collection as well, never letting it further than the showroom floor for customers to admire.

We recently caught wind of one Las Vegas dealer who is already said to have the allocation from Ford for a 50th anniversary car. That allocation means they will be able to order one 50th anniversary Mustang when the order bank opens.

Being offered up on eBay as item number 151297454051, this 2015 Mustang limited edition 50th anniversary allocation can be yours if the price is right. What Gaudin Ford in Las Vegas, NV is doing is offering someone the chance to pre-purchase the car before it ever goes on sale, by essentially selling their allocation. This means that whoever can come up with the asking buy it now price of 100-thousand dollars could be one of the first people in the country to own a 50th anniversary Mustang.

There’s no actual car yet, and the few options that can be selected will be available as part of this offer, Gaudin Ford can’t even order the car yet, as the ordering bank hasn’t opened, they’ve only been told by Ford through the allocation system that they will be getting one of these cars.

A hundred grand seems like a steep asking price, we were expecting to see a markup of maybe ten-thousand dollars, but better than double what the highest option premium GT will likely bring at sticker price seems like a shocker.

This is a chance to own a very unique, and rare Mustang. However, it sets a dangers precedent for not only the price of the limited edition 50th, but also the 2015 models as well. We have to wonder how much markup will you have to pay initially to get your hands on an early ’15?
