Turbocharged Classic Sleeper ’Stang Run Eights On The Quarter Mile

We love a good drag race — the sights, smells, and sounds are just like heaven to us, or at least what we imagine heaven to be like. As a matter of fact, we’re pretty sure the swirling white clouds often pictures around the pearly gates were actually from burnouts, but that’s beside the point. When we can’t make it out to a drag race in person, a good video will suffice to temporarily quench our thirst for speed and loud cars.

When it’s not decked out with the parachute on the back, you can see that it is licensed to drive the streets in the great state of Indiana.

The video above shows a really cool, first-generation Mustang blasting down the track. We love the look of the fat tires and otherwise unassuming look of the car. If you didn’t see a picture under the hood or hear or see this thing running, you’d never really know there was anything unusual going on — if it weren’t for those tires, of course.

If it weren’t for the sound of this Mustang running and the fat rubber for grip on the back, you’d hardly even be able to tell this was anything more than just a simple street cruiser. We love the sleeper look and think this is perfect for it.

This Mustang is powered by a seriously built V8 with a turbocharger for forced-air induction. A powerful combination for the street and the strip, and the current registration and licence plates on the back tell you that this one is certainly cruising the back roads and highways of the great state of Indiana when it isn’t set up to race with the parachute on the back.
