This F-150 SVT Lightning Is A Y2K Time Capsule!

When’s the last time you saw an SVT Lightning with extremely low mileage? How about one with the original window sticker still displayed on its passenger side window? Or one with the factory plastic seat covers? Or how about a Lightning in such good shape, that its rearend doesn’t have a single spec of rust in sight?

We would guess about 17 years ago. That is, until today.

The original owner says this 2000 SVT Lightning is as good as it gets. After examining this truck found on eBay, you may never see another one of these trucks in this condition again. No, you aren’t seeing things – this Lightning has an odometer reading of just 15 actual miles, and spent its entire life in a climate-controlled building and covered for more than 17 years.

The truck is located in Hagerstown, Maryland, and looks as if it’s only optioned with a front license plate mounting bracket. The original MSRP looks to be just under $32,000. The asking price on the original eBay listing as of now is nearly three times the sticker price at $1 shy of $90,000 for this basically brand-new SVT Lightning.

Remember that back in 2000, the Lightning was dubbed “The World’s Fastest Production Truck” by many the automotive press, and that moniker didn’t come out of thin air. That title came from its Eaton-supercharged, Two-Valve 5.4-liter V8 producing a stout 360 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque.

Just under 5,000 SVT F-150 Lighting examples were produced for the year 2000, and this truck is one of 1,405 of those produced that year. The question remains – can you justify the seller’s asking price?
