Tanner Foust Signs Multi-Year Deal with Ford

When he’s not busy drifting up a storm in Formula Drift or hosting America’s newest favorite car program, Top Gear, Tanner Foust has been keeping busy racing Ford’s new Fiesta in the new RallyCross motorsport. Foust, the winningest rally driver in X-Games history, just as the rumors said he would, has decided to solidify his partnership with the Blue Oval in a multi-year contract that spans multiple motorsports and vehicles.

Foust will continue to drive the Rockstar Energy Drink Ford Fiesta in the European RallyCross Series, as well as the new Global RallyCross series that begins this year. In addition, Foust will continue to rep the Blue Oval at this year’s X-Games 17. While Foust is quickly becoming synonymous with Ford’s Fiesta, he will also be integral to the launch of the 2012 Ford Focus ST, which will feature a 250 horsepower 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine.

Foust is no spring chicken at 38 years old, but his boyish charm has made him the popular front man of the Top Gear America. Foust has done a lot of stunt driving in his day too, for movies like The Fast and the Furious, Iron Man 2, and the “new” Dukes of Hazzard. But his real claim to fame is racing, and Foust is twice the Formula Drift Champion (2007 and 2008) though he appears to have put his drifting days behind him for now as Vaughn Gittin Jr. carries the Ford flag. It looks like for the foreseeable future, Foust will be rocking the Fiesta. We wonder if this will carry over into Top Gear?
