Remember when Hertz and Shelby loosed the third iteration of the classic Rent-A-Racer, the 2016 Shelby GT-H. They weren’t available for purchase; only for rent as part of the top tier of Hertz’s Adrenaline Collection roster. Now a few of these cars are aging out of the fleet and one has hit the open market for a stunning six-figure sum.
Now keep in mind that these are pretty rare vehicles, with only 140 produced for the Hertz fleet. Combined with the Shelby name and the GT-H pedigree it is definitely a collector’s car.
“This special 50th anniversary edition of the Ford Shelby GT-H not only underscores our commitment to deliver a fun and personalized rental experience, but it also has helped Hertz become the premium brand it is today. It’s sure to be an exhilarating drive for anyone who has the chance to get behind the wheel of this one-of-a-kind ride,” Matt Jauchius, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Hertz Global Holdings, said when the car was revealed.
This example is a certified used vehicle with on 14,000 miles on the clock. It carries the VIN 1FA6P8CF8G5307276 and is being sold out of Costa Mesa, California. The no-haggle price for the car is $150,000, but you could put down $3,000 and finance for 60 months at around $2,701.
