If you know Mike Rousch, then you probably know a few things about him. He’s been an SCT Performance custom calibrator for the last two decades at Mid Atlantic Performance, and he’s competed in just about every racing event you can imagine.
What you might not know, is that Rousch recently began dabbling in the American Iron series through the National Auto Sports Association (NASA) road racing events. Rousch is running a 5.0-liter Coyote swapped ’07 Mustang GT and a matching Getrag M-T82 6-speed manual transmission built specifically for the American Iron series.
Tuned to a specific 375 horsepower for his race class, his modifications include a Boss 302 intake manifold, a JLT cold air intake, a set of Pypes long tube headers, and a tune to use E85 fuel using an SCT X4 device. Although Rousch has capped the power to 375 horsepower as we mentioned for the class he’s running in, this Coyote is capable of more than 440 horsepower uncapped thanks to his SCT tuning device.
“Since I have been a custom calibrator for over 20 years now and Mid Atlantic Performance is one of the biggest email calibrators for the ’11+ Coyote platforms, I need to be able to spend the most time with my customers and the least amount of time getting hardware to work,” Rousch said.
“Since day one, SCT Peformance has provided me with the necessary tools to get the job done. They also provide my customers with topnotch technical support and treat my customers like their own. SCT continues to grow and work together with their dealers to enhance their product line. I am proud to be supported by SCT, they’re without a doubt the number one tuning platform in the world.”
