The 2015 Mustang has been available to the buying public for just over 6 months. While it is the most capable Mustang to ever come out of Ford, it’s also a fairly pricey car. Racking up the options, a GT Performance Pack with leather and Recaro seats can set you back well over $40,000.
What if you could get your hands on such a car for pennies on the dollar. We’re not talking about some scam, or low buck imitation. We’re talking about a salvage car. This one in particular is a black ’15 Mustang, and from the look of it a Premium, with Performance Pack and Recaros, item 3100 from IAAI.
The car has 3,200 miles on the clock, and was the victim of an obvious front end collision. It looks like most of the damage from this crash is isolated to the front bumper, hood, and right front. This could be a car that needs minimal repairs, that many enthusiasts could handle on their own. Without examining it deeper however, it’s hard to ascertain this from photos alone.
There’s another option here, and that is to strip this car for parts. Whether you’re building something like a Factory Five kit car, a restomod, or even a Fox body, there’s a lot of parts on this car that could be transitioned to another project.
The current pre-bidding as we’re writing this is $1,275. The car is set for auction this Monday, and according to the listing has a California salvage title. Even if the price goes up 10 times that’s still a low mileage car for less than 1/3 of what it cost new.
