Roush Performance has been around for decades, and in that time they’ve built some really boss Mustangs. Every year these Roush Mustangs get a little bit better, and for 2011 they’ve got more horsepower, better handling, an all-new name, and lots of color combinations.
Roush has released photos of just a few of these color combinations, teasing us with the almost endless possibilities of our own fantasy Roush Mustang. Mustangs Daily has the whole gallery.
If your pockets are deep enough to afford the average sale price of around $60,000, then you too can be among the elite few who own a 540 horsepower supercharged Roush Mustang. With the beefed-up 5.0 engine under the hood, this ‘Stang will go like stink. Add a Roush suspension, body kit, interior upgrades, better brakes, and you’ve got one beautiful aftermarket Mustang.
But let’s talk color options for a moment. Roush is letting buyers choose between six stripe colors, six stripe accent colors, and eight different body colors for the rest of the Mustang. We’re not sure how many exclusionary colors there are (“I’d like my Roush white with white stripes”) but there are likely over 200 different color combinations. Since Roush Mustangs are limited in volume by design, the chances of coming across another RS3 Mustang with the exact same color options is unlikely.
You can take a twirl on their RS3 Configurator and play around with the color options (our favorite being Luminescent Lime.) A configurator only goes so far though, so Roush released some pictures of the finished product for public consumption, and just as we guessed, Luminescent Lime makes an appearance on a black RS3 Mustang. It just looks so right to us, but what color combos have you drooling?
