Ford has been keeping the under hood details of the soon to be released 2016 GT350 under wraps. Recently three images of a GT350 prototype surfaced on facebook, giving us our first full glimpse under the hood. This looks like a near production version of the GT350, which reveals several details that we had yet to see.
At first glance it appears the Voodoo engine could be more compact than the Coyote. This photo also seems to confirm that the Voodoo will indeed have a factory cold air intake similar to the previous GT500.
We also noticed the throttle body could be slightly lower than on the Mustang GT .
Curiously there’s also the SVT labeled strut tower brace. It could be that this brace was built before the switch to the Ford Performance banner for all things fast in the Blue Oval world. Or could it be that the SVT banner will live on in some subtle ways throughout the GT350?
One thing is certain, it’s very cool to see one of these cars out in broad daylight, and we can’t wait until our next face to face encounter. Post up what you spot in the comments below.
